Just 5 minutes out of Stone on the A34 heading towards Stoke-on-Trent, and 5 minutes away from the Wedgwood Centre at Barlaston. The George and Dragon was previously part of Meaford Hall estate, which dates from 1667. Meaford Hall was home of the Admiral John Jervis who became Earl St Vincent as a result of his victory over the Spanish Fleet at Cape St Vincent during the Napoleonic wars in 1797.
Rebuilt in 1887 The George and Dragon has established an excellent reputation for good home cooked food.
